Andy is a ‘Doonhamer’, hailing from Dumfries, and joined Mann Judd Gordon in 2007. Incredibly he and John were paper-boys for adjacent neighbourhoods but did not meet until they started work together in Stornoway. Andy trained and qualified with Scott-Moncrieff in Edinburgh before moving with his family to the Isle of Lewis in 2006.
Although Andy has finally come to accept that a professional football career was never anything but an impossible dream and that his guitar-playing has too many deficiencies to number, he continues to enjoy pursuing these interests. He is also a trustee of two local charities as well being involved in youth work at a local and national level.

John is the firm’s other ‘Doonhamer’, and trained and qualified with the firm of Saint & Co. before joining a partnership in Castle Douglas. John decided to undertake a fresh challenge in February 2010, relocating with his wife and 3 young boys to the Isle of Lewis.
John has been involved in advising and working with small and medium sized businesses throughout his career, and is keen to help develop the local chamber of commerce to give the small and medium sized businesses a larger voice within the Western Isles.
With 3 young boys the opportunity for activities outwith work are limited, other than taking the boys to swimming and football etc, but the dream of completing the London Marathon will one day become a reality …..

Roddy is an enthusiastic and experienced business professional with extensive experience ranging from small business involvement in the Western Isles to directorship of a multi-national salmon farming operation. A self-starter and hugely motivated with great vision for business development, he is skilled in business planning, counselling, advice and encouraging businesses to best practice and the provision of excellent service.
Roddy is passionate about the Scottish Islands and their ability to be economically self sustainable and be in a position to provide employment opportunities which will enable young talent to return to the islands.
Born on the Isle of Scalpay and educated at Sir E Scott School, Isle of Harris and Portree High School, Isle of Skye, Roddy is a fluent Gaelic speaker and is continually encouraging his staff to be too!
